My Process & Collection

I enjoy experimenting with different types of clay, from sturdy mugs in fine stoneware to tall vases in slinky porcelain to wall hanging in grainy grogged clays. I love seeing what each clay can do and pushing each clay type to its limits.

I make my own glazes, slips and engobes. Here, patience and experimentation are key to developing my own colour palette. It requires constant experimenting, tons of research and luck, lots & lots of luck!

In addition to all of this exciting creativity, I love discussing the many layers that make up the tiniest of tiny ceramic vessels. Thus, I organise field trips to various Ceramic exhibitions, museums or galleries like Galerie Terra Delft in Delft, or further afield like Ceramic Art London in April, and, of course, throughout the year, I encourage and welcome my students to visit my ceramic supplier either in the Hague or in Haarlem.
